Is this Signed footed bowl a Scandinavian piece please?
« on: April 14, 2013, 05:01:18 PM »
Hi I have a footed bowl which reminds me of Scandinavian glass. It's signed to the base but i really can't read most of it :/ I think it says Gfs '96 on the one side but i could be wrong and I have no idea what it says on the other. It stands 4" tall and measures 6 and half " diagonally across the top rim.
I've taken flash photos of the base to show the etched signatures to their best though it doesn't show off the rough broken pontil mark very well in that type of shot.
Does anyone know what type of glass this is please?
Thanks :)
