« on: April 20, 2013, 04:15:42 PM »
Hi not a design ive seen in the past and has some quality, Appears to be pressed glass in a colour or shade ive not seen before. Sits on a 6 sided base and a 6 sided rim which is slightly rounded. Measuring just 6 1/4" tall thanks for taking a look.

Looks like Moravske Kyjov, Rosice, Czechoslovakia, pattern 8029 vase. I have a taller one in clear glass. They come in 5 heights: 13, 16.5, 20, 25, and 30 cm tall.

See Marcus Newhall, Sklo Union Art Before Industry: 20th Century Czech Pressed Glass

I seem to recall that a very similar vase was made by a German glassworks...  but the colour of yours looks good for Rosice, it's the size that bothers me...
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
