Clear Glass Dish
« on: May 12, 2013, 09:02:33 PM »
I have a few pieces of glassware, recently passed to me from my Mum.
Any info would be appreciated, esp. correct names for 'styles' & uses, please. I'd expect most of items to be Pressed Glass/Depression Glass & probably mass produced?
This one pictured is: 8 inches (20cm) approx across x 1.5" (4cm) at the tip of each 'wave' & 1" (2.5cm) at the 'dip'. There are no makers impressions. The glass is clear & has some bubbles & 'lines' in the glass from manufacture. I think the pics show the design.
Cheers, D.
ps. which term is correct 'Depression' or 'Pressed'?
