Schweig Muller Vanity Lamps
« on: May 13, 2013, 01:31:02 AM »
Found these a couple of weeks ago I figured I'd share. Bases & figures were good, tube pipes were pinched pretty bad & cloth wiring shot, but I keep "piece/parts" so I replaced wiring & pipes. Not often I can find decent European around here. Ken

Congratulations, Ken, an amazing find! What are the bases made of, please?
I only knew of the bowl with 'chimney' or the large cylindrical glass rock, both lit from underneath. It's so sad that we still didn't find any documents or catalogues from this maker...

Again, congrats and thank you for sharing  :-*

Thanks Christine & Pamela. Pamela the bases are Spelter/White Metal with a bronzed finish. I saw the iceberg/rock ones (a pair) lit from below at a show years ago & the price was staggering for those. This pair frankly was quite reasonable at just under $50...probably because they needed redone with the bent tube piping & wiring. Ken
