Topic: Amber pressed bowl "humanoid" feet partly frosted - ID = Reich

I have not seen anything similar before (but with my limited knowledge of pressed glass this may not mean much -- I am sure some folks here will have the ID in an instant )

Pressed glass bowl in glowing amber, most of the outside frosted (apart from the big flowers).
3 feet in the shape of... children? Or rather dwars/imps? In German I would perhaps call them "Wichtel".

Diameter 26 cm, height 9 cm.

Couldn't find it on Pamela's site, and neither on the internet...
Any help highly appreciated as usual!

Don't recall the pattern number, but it's definitely one of theirs. Also seen in opalescent glass.

I somehow overlooked the pics on Pamelas's site, I was more concentrated on the usual suspects for figural pieces like Brockwitz and Walther.

It is interesting that a google search for S. Reich & Co doesn't come up with much, apart from many articles in "Pressglaskorrespondenz". It took me a while to find my bowl there >> Link to .pdf
Mr. Stopfer refers to it as a "fruit bowl with flowers and children" (I thought that their faces looked quite adult).
The design was obviously still produced in the 1970s; mine has so much wear and dirt that I would assume it is an older piece.
Unfortunately the pattern book doesn't seem to have been published.

Are pieces by Reich scarcer, or is their output just less well documented?

Just less well  documented. The quality of their mould work was often superb

Christine is right their work was often superb.
I have pieces at home which I am pretty sure are Reich but as you say there isn't much documented.The only catalogue I have is the 1934 one which this bowl is in.
I have had this in the past in green plain frosted and opalescent.I now collect mainly amber and pink so have never seen it in amber like yours.
If you ever want to part with it please let me know I would love it!

And I agree, mould work is really nice, and I think that the "reverse" frosting in mine is quite effective (the boys/elves/gnomes physiognomy is more obvious this way).
