I think I am in the right category, can anyone I.D this piece, also attached a pic of the monogram, I have looked all over and have now come to a dead end!!!!

01 above the monogram = 2001?
I'm not seeing the quality of a professional studio glass maker here (just glass tiles laid over one another and fused), so I suspect it's by a student.

It is fused glass whether student or otherwise (there are plenty of fused glass makers). If you do not know who made your glass or where it was made always post in general glass enquiries. Don't guess  ;)

Possibly Andreas Meyer (Mayer?) from Nahariya Glass in Israel - he used to churn out this type of stuff in impressive quantities.

Thank you Ivo, had a look at Andreas Meyer's work but does not match the monogram....I shall keep trying, I still have a gut feeling about Norway or similar related country.
