Green glass Tumblers
« on: August 01, 2013, 03:30:52 PM »
Anyone have any suggestions for these Tumblers ?? The first hooped (pair) are 10.5cm in height, it does have a concave Pontil mark.  Centre (pair) one is 10.2cm, last (4) is 9.7cm. None are UV reactive. I have had the two pair a while and have Uranium pitchers in a similar style to the ringed type. Have so far been unable to ID any. I have been trying to make a set and any pointers to makes that you can give would help find them hopefully in Uranium. Thanks.

Pete.

Hi Keith, I will look into that, thanks. I have a  'matching' jug but its in Uranium. I have two of the smaller ringed tumblers and thought the four were a match for them. One of the four has a nibble on the rim so no set yet  ;D. The jugs/pitchers (are jugs small and pitchers large ???) I have are below, both uranium. The smaller is around 19cm. Really nice items. The six glasses were only £2 so not matching was not a problem. Cheers Keith.

PS. Just had a quick look and it seems the pair, ringed, are Stuart. The four are slightly smaller and broader. Thanks Keith.

I think the ribbed jug must have been sold somewhere like Woolworths; it's one of the most common uranium jugs around. I also think have have matching (bought together) tumblers but can't work out from my website which they are

The differences in sizes are so small. Makes it difficult. The hoops are getting listed. The set of four, one has a small chip in the rim that I  need to polish out but can't have UV jug and non UV tumblers for some reason....OCD again :-)

It's not OCD, the difference is always obvious.

I don't think any of the tumblers you have shown match either jug in style, never mind uranium content

Thanks again lustroustone. I do like the pitcher tumbler sets for some reason.  The search goes on.
