Creme caramel squid vase?
« on: August 12, 2013, 05:50:29 PM »
Another mystery vase from my collection - I've seen a few of these. I thought it was Czech when I bought it but now I think it's Italian? I call it the creme caramel squid vase. It's 230mm height, quite light in weight and has a white interior. I've seen them in green and orange too. Any suggestions welcome!

They are Japanese, see the end of this thread for a couple of labelled examples: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34450.msg206663.html#msg206663

Between neeps, squid and creme caramel... you've put me off my dinner, Mr. Turnip! ;)

Thanks for that Glassobsessed - I will look further into possible dating of this which I assumed to be 1960s/70s. Never considered Japanese though!
