Help in identification please
« on: August 28, 2013, 05:31:54 PM »
I have inherited a rather large orange glass bowl with a white interior. It measures about 27 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep.
The colour is a pale orange and it has a white interior.  I really have no idea where it came from and I hope I am not being naive in asking for help with identification. I really would be most grateful if any of the members can help. There are no marks as far as I can see. Many Thanks.

Welcome to the Board.

I can not help with a maker but can you confirm the base is polished flat and can you see many scratches on the base? Generally wear like that builds up over time and can sometimes offer a clue to age.

John

Thanks John for the reply.

Yes the base does appear to have been ground down flat and is quite scratched, so it certainly does not look new. There is no damage anywhere that I can see.  Elaine.
