Mushroom (Maltese maybe?) - ID = Mtarfa
« on: September 10, 2013, 04:13:59 PM »
About 7.5 cms tall.

Signed - but I can't make sense of the signature  - looks to start with an M/N and end with an i?

Just a feeling that it maybe Maltese, but no idea.

Anyone have a suggestion. With grateful thanks in advance.

Steve

You are correct, it is Maltese, the name of the maker is Mtarfa.  :)
Nice!

Thank you - I have some Mtarfa birds, but the signature looked quite different... which threw me.

Worth the 50p then?!

Thanks for the information.

If I'd seen it for 50p, it would be gracing my shelves.  :P
I like glass mushrooms popping up everywhere amongst my other bits of glass. I'm currently looking at a Mtarfa one which sits on top of my computer boxy thing - blue at the bottom, yellow at the top, with browny splodges on it.
