Hi, I am pretty sure this is Strathern at 2 7/8 dia and 2.5 inches tall fire polished concave base with a 7 spoke 122 set up on a black ground. Is this from around the 70s.

Hi Malcolm

Yes Strathearn, but they made these from when the factory started production of paperweights
in 1964 until the Strathearn name ceased with the takeover by Stuart Crystal in 1980. 

Its not possible to get the date range any tighter than this unfortunately.
