Fake Flygsfors?
« on: October 12, 2013, 03:38:09 PM »
I currently have this piece listed on ebay, but was told by a potential buyer that the vase appears to them as a fake.( that the signature looked wrong?). I have not seen this particular shape before, nor have I seen 'Coquille' followed by a copyright symbol. However, the colors look spot on, and I do not see anything particularly wrong with the 'Flygsfors' signature. Any thoughts as to this design and signature would be greatly appreciated. Piece stands about 10 inches tall and base reads Flygsfors-56..Coquille. Thnx for looking.

It's possible that the signature was added later, looks quite recent.

Looks OK to me; just a slightly unusual form.
