Red Vase with Cobalt Blue "Snake" Trail Around Body
« on: October 23, 2013, 07:39:49 AM »
I am hoping  someone can help with this vase - I know nothing about it other than what you see - it is a dark red with a brilliant cobalt blue "snake" around the body, and an extremely fine whitish line around the upper rim. It stands 5 inches tall and is 6 inches in diameter and it weighs 850 grams. It has a polished base with not a lot wear marks and a depressed polished pontil? mark in the centre of the base.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions

regards
Auliya

I have a tall white vase with black trail, probably from the same source, other than contemporary I don't know anything about it. Mine looks well made so perhaps Polish rather than the far east.
