Topic: Neodymium ?? Vase

I seem to have searchers block  Too much info over last few weeks I think. Anyone recognise this vase. It is 22cm in height. The wear on the base implies some age and covers any sig if there ever was one. It does seem to vary in colour whenever I look at it so it could be neodymium glass. Has some wear on the body and a tiny nibble on the base but for £2.00 it displays nicely.

Just possible that your piece might be sommerso - am sure someone else will clarify.

Could be Strombergshyttan, shape and base look fine.

Smålandshyttan is another possibility as their work is unsigned.

Simple test for Neodymium:

In daylight it should look lilac
Under a fluorescent light (incl. those energy-saving bulbs) it should look pale blue

However, there are other rare earth examples that can look green under fluorescent.

Sorry for the late reply. Been away  you are right Paul, I think it's just reflections and light but it's a nice effect. Sommerso it is, clear glass with, forgive me my colour naming, lilacy pinky colour but then seems to have an amber tint  from another angle 
John, it looks the same as in your link. Absolutely no way of telling if it's signed. Through my loupe I can see or make out letters but could just as easily be a scratch as a letter/number as it's so badly worn.    I re measured with more care and this is 20 cm in height. Scandinavian it is then. Sadly as I mentioned, too shabby to list but looks good cleaned up and on my shelf. (It does mean I have the feel of this, always helps to handle nice glass) Thanks for all the help with this piece.
