HELP IDENTIFYING LOVELY GLASS FRUIT BOWL
« on: November 04, 2013, 01:16:48 AM »
This fruit bowl is a mystery. The lady I bought it from assured me it is 1930's.I can not find the pattern anywhere. It weighs 2 3/4 lbs or 1.2 kg.It is of high quality and very thick.there are no seams and no makers marks. :P
Any help identifying greatly appreciated.
I am new to this site and am located in Australia. All my buying is local.

You can't change it yourself, Roses, you need a Moderator to do it for you. You can ask for help be replying to your post and asking a Mod to do it, (which I shall do for you as soon as I've added this reply.)

Note that all ID requests should be put into Glass, please, unless it is a Paperweight, which goes into Glass Paperweights.  8)

I'll move this over for you. PS before anyone moans at you, typing in all CAPITALS is the equivalent of shouting, so please would you just use normal case instead, so we don't get deafened. Thanks!  ;D

PPS Welcome to the board!  :)

The brain is in neutral so the maker is hiding in there somewhere.  However I am fairly certain it is comparatively modern say post 70s Scandinavian.  The feeling is the there is the word Ice in the pattern name.  Sorry I am so vague.  Certainly not uncommon in op-shops around Melbourne.
