Love glass
« on: December 17, 2013, 09:47:50 AM »
Last question of the year. I recentlyl bought this glass at a German auction. It as a rough pontil mark, shows no luminescence under UV and has a chunky faceted stem. It was advertised as being from about 1800.

The bowl is gilt and has the motto

"Einen herze nür allein
Werd ich treü bestündig sein"

To one heart only, I will be always true/faithful

But where was it made? Lauenstein? Saxony?
