Thanks so much, I went crazy trying to find whether this was a murano.

Any idea how much would this piece cost. I was told 2000 usd to 4000 usd. I think this is a very high price.

How much it would sell for would depend on the place it was being sold, how well it was advertised and how many bidders were fighting each other for it.

The secondary market is impossible to predict. The best way to obtain a ball-park figure for value would be to find another one in an auction and wait and see how much it goes for.
Then take a bit off - you have already lost the highest bidder.

Having said that, it is a beautiful piece by a well-known and highly regarded artist, it should sell well.  :)

Thanks Sue, I saw this on a site for £5000. Dunno what to say it's always confusing with high end murano.

There's a recent book on glass which has gone out of print, but folk still want copies.

Some sold on ebay recently. £194, £112 and £87, (I think) were the prices obtained, for three that came up in reasonably quick succession. In that order.
Auctions are weird things.

But I would think, if you did want to sell it, that this is the sort of thing that would "make it's own price" in the market.
You might not get $5,000, but you'd probably get a fair bit, if you advertised it properly.

I'm not in the high-end-Murano echelons myself.   :'(

Thanks, you are a great help.

I was looking at buying the piece and have bid 1,000 usd for it and am being offered 2,000 usd for it. My first big piece so did'nt wanna take any risk.

Thanks again

I'm a collector, not a seller or dealer, so I only worry about how much I am willing to pay for something I want to own and to live with.
