Twisted Stem Bulb Vase?

A red vase which is very well made, clear cased red with white inner, polished rim edge and rippled, sunken base. I think I have seen another in past, which was Scandinavian, but I cant put a name to it. It is quite heavy, about 0.700kg and 30cm tall, any ideas and thanks in advance   Simon
