Topic: Exbor jardiniere

Beautiful jardiniere, Exbor Czechoslovakia acid stamp to the base. 21.5 cm wide, 13.5 cm high. Very heavy at around 3 kg.
Internally decorated with band of swirling milky colours...

I cannot find the designer for this pattern, though I looked through quite a lot of CGR issues...
I guess either Pavel Hlava or Ivo Rozsypal?

Yes, the effect in mine is much nicer, with the colours deeply suspended in the amber glass.
Well, it is at least 20 years older
Hard to see, but I think the decor is in opalescent glass...

I had found quite a few Rozsypal Exbor pieces online, the ones with silver chloride inclusions, and the ones with narrow stripes, but this pattern seems less common...

What I still don't know: did Rozsypal just design the decor, or the shape as well? -- The same shape is also found with a Pavel Hlava decor, see the Egermann catalogue I linked to in my opening post.

It's lovely - completely confident and monumental. A statement piece if ever I saw one.

I do hope you are going to leave it as it is and not stick dead vegetation in it!
