Unidentified glasses or vases - need help!
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:41:53 PM »
Found these tall glasses or could be vases in a thrift store.  They are a rich purple color although there is a slight variation in color between the 2 of them.  They are approximately 5.75 inches in height and 2.75 inches across the top.  They are not Whitefriars glass.  Can anyone identify them for me?  Thanks!

Oh dear, 38 views of this and no reply.  It may be prudent to edit the heading of this and add something like "Scandi?" or "Czech ", to attract more attention.  I suggested to Deborah that she register here for an ID of her glass, so have an interest in her getting an ID as I told her how clever you all were here!!! ;D

Of course we're pretty clever here - but this is a devil of a question as every man and his dog has made similar. I would place these offhand in Empoli, but would not be surprised if they turned out the be Oberglas Austria. Friedrich Germany, Bormioli, or Arques - to name but a few of the many possibilities. Or even Pasabahce of Turkey, and then relatively recent.
