Topic: Vintage crystal champagne flutes marked with a crown below an ''S''

Hi there,i recently purchased 6 lovely crystal flutes from a charity shop,im pretty sure they are vintage,can anyone please tell me what company made them
at the base they all have a mark of a Crown(the crown its self is like a small  M with a line under it and a dot over it) with the letter S under it..
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

hi - welcome to the GMB               It's usual practice to attach a picture of the mark you're trying to id, although appreciate that small backstamps aren't easy to photograph.
I did wonder if what you're describing might possibly be Royal Doulton, but really not sure.   
Rather than guessing it would be better if you are able to send us a pic.    -  however someone might still be able to give you an answer based on your description.

I've re-sized the original pic  -  and this is the mark for which fidelius would like a maker/factory please.......

Off the top of my head it looks similar to Spiegelau Glass but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for that,i thought the same...the crown is different though...they use 2 types of symbols over the ''S''and neither match this crown...their crown is more like the Queens crown,taller and has 3 mounds,not 2 like this one...Ahhhh
