Hi there,i recently purchased 6 lovely crystal flutes from a charity shop,im pretty sure they are vintage, can anyone please tell me what company made them
at the base they all have a mark of a Crown(the crown its self is like a small  M with a line under it and a dot over it) with the letter S under it..
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,
Many thanks,F ! ;D

hi - welcome to the GMB :)              It's usual practice to attach a picture of the mark you're trying to id, although appreciate that small backstamps aren't easy to photograph.
I did wonder if what you're describing might possibly be Royal Doulton, but really not sure.
Rather than guessing it would be better if you are able to send us a pic.    -  however someone might still be able to give you an answer based on your description.  :)

Off the top of my head it looks similar to Spiegelau Glass but don't quote me on that.
Pete. :-)

Thanks for that,i thought the same...the crown is different though...they use 2 types of symbols over the ''S''and neither match this crown...their crown is more like the Queens crown, taller and has 3 mounds, not 2 like this one...Ahhhh   :-\
