Bubbly crackle vase, could it be WMF and Ikora?
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:36:11 PM »

It is fractionally wider at 16.5cm than it is tall, thickish glass so quite substantial, snapped pontil mark. I have wondered about Loetz (schaumglas), Monart and Leerdam but Ikora somehow seemed much closer, any ideas?

Reminds me - a little - of my Björkshult bowl:

Snapped pontil mark as well...

edit: here is a thread on precisensan.com showing the same vase in green >> Link

Interestingly, my first thoughts were also Scandinavian, although not sure if its the Hoglund type shape that's leading me down that road or not.....

Continuing the Norwegian theme, also reminds me a little of this piece produced by Lillehammer Glasshytte. Although I think the pontil mark was snapped and then heat treated.

Wow fantastic, thanks all.

The consensus for the green version was Björkshult and along with your bowl Michael and two other in this bubbly blue with labels that google throws up I think you have it.  Scroll down for a cylinder vase: http://www.aletorpantik.se/products.asp?page=37#

Three bowls on Tradera: http://www.tradera.com/item/341198/201323353/tre-sma-bla-glas-bjorkshult-design-hans-christian-wagner

By odd coincidence I also have this and I think they could be siblings.
