Vase/bottle ID needed
« on: March 13, 2014, 05:52:18 PM »
Here is a bottle/vase with sandy striations much like T Young, Ed Iglehart, or Mdina - it is signed but I can hardly see it and not able to catch a photo - says Y or V A K then other letters

Any ideas

Adam

Try shooting the base photo from a much shallower angle so the flat portion is light and any engraved bit is dark.. It takes patterns out of the photo.

See examples below.  The first is from higher up and the signatures are lost in the pattern.  The second is much shallower and the engraving is easy to read.
