Hi,
I recently bought this at an auction, it came along with the piece I really wanted ( a Monart that hadn't been spotted!!
. I think it is a Whitefriars and looks like pattern number 9091 in the 1938 Catalogue page 13. It is 11.5" high, 6 vertical ribs that can be felt on the outside, has a ground concave polished pontil and is heavy.
I know absolutely NOTHING about Whitefriars glass, have looked to find a picture to compare it with, have found similar but not identical.
So if there is a Whitefriars buff out there I'd love to know if it is and are they common or rare (ish)?
Pictures: hopefully they will appear
Many thanks,
Roberta
