This is a strange marking on this piece of glass. Has anyone ever seen such a marking??? and if so PLEASE share what you know about it.

This piece of glass is over 19" in L and is 10" in W.

Appreciate any ideas...help in any way please as I know nothing or anything about where to begin searching.

THANKS ahead of time!
Theresa

Did a quick search. Try Yalos Casa and see what you come up with. I think its a fairly new company. Terry

Anne,

What is the possible function of this ??? LOL Would it be a giant fruit bowl? To me it is a big structure piece. I would be afraid to use it ...or put anything inside it as it's fairly thin glass....any ideas? I have to sell this thing! LOL

Hi,
Yalos is a pretty young company born few years agoo from F3. One of the two owners, the Ferro brothers, is going on with the old famous brand F3, the other brother, with the two sons, is working on Yalos (Yalos= glass in greek).
They are located in Murano, fondamenta Manin, but the tecniques used in this production are very very modern, pretty far, in my opinion, from the classic venetian tecniques. They produces big vases, centerpieces and table accessories, in general more useful items than art glass.
The glass is all made with mouls, nothing is "free hand " made and the also the quality of the glass is different: heavy and opaque.

Sincerely

Alex
