70's shallow blue bowl?

Hi all,picked this up from a boot fair this morning,it has a shallow polished pontil and must be easily 1"thick in the base with alot of furry wear almost like a very old piece,must be something to do with the weight,it's not my field ,not that i have a field of glass knowledge,more of an allotment i would say  ::)anyone recognise this,many thanks. ps 9"wd
