Small red studio vase ID= Mtarfa
« on: May 05, 2014, 01:03:25 PM »
Hi, this one is about 4 1/2 inches in height. The inner layer is similar to heron glass. I can't make the sig out at all. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Pete. :-)

My suspicions are the same as both of yours. It looks like a bit of Mtarfa for a start, the way the enamels are used, it is a known Mtarfa shape and the illegible mark does appear to start with an M and have a f-like thing towards the end, I'm quite happy to consider this a positive id. :)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Yes Mtarfa, the same design also crops up in other colours.

I should know better than to doubt your knowledge glassobsessed. They are worse than doctors with their Signatures !. I have not seen these before. It is a nice piece of glass and looks better in the flesh than pictures show. Once I get my friend computer savvy he can post on here.  he has some nice pieces but I cant keep checking for him lol. Thank you once again. Much Appreciated.
