Gary (M) you've not got things the right way round.
Your wife should be buying clothes from charity shops - so that you DO have cash for far more important things like glass.

That's what I do. And the charity shops in Perth are full of really good quality clothes.
It's criminal buying new clothes at the prices they are - and if they're cheap, it's on the back of sweatshop labour and should be boycotted.
