Silesian

Imrecently bought this glass in an auction. The auction house didn't know where it was made but felt it wasn't in the UK but did suggest Holland. I'm not sure. Fron the shape I'd hazard a guess at Silesia.

It's 16cm tall, bowl dia 6cm, foor dia 7.3cm. Under UV shows no luminescence. The glass contains small air bubbles, tool marks from manufacture and is a little grey. There is a rough pontil mark on the base. The foot is not as flat as some of the Silesian glasses I have seen but more conical. The engraving of four (?) different types of flowers in a bouquet is nicely done and was at sometime gilded. The bowl is quite thick. It feels like a basic glass without any cutting but with the engraving to make a little more special.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received. Thanks.
