These are great.  I had found one current listing on eBay (USA) with one image and also some reference pictures on a site which sources replacement Lalique pieces (also in the US).  But these images give much better detail of the stopper...  I've taken measurements and it looks like a need a fairly long stopper, approx. 9.5cm from top to bottom, with a stopper width of 2cm (circumference approx. 6.5cm).  The width of the 'ball' needs to be approx. 5cm (which is the width of the lip).  The stopper needs to have a smooth finish - I've taken some more pics of my decanter with a misfitting stopper (too small, slightly too big stopper but too small ball, rough finish not smoot) to give some more detail and to help me take the measurements.  In one of the images you can also see the slight 'lip' within the neck which is where the stopper would sit snuggly and which, as you can see, is quite low in the neck - hence the need for a long stopper.   Neil53 - if you have anything that would potentially match then I am v interested...
Thanks as always,
Vx

Hi, happy to help if I can.  Is the required stopper hollow or solid?  I know I don't have one marked Lalique.  Would the stopper be marked?  I'll take a look this weekend and get back to you then.

I can't find anything to say whether Lalique stoppers are marked but I'm not expecting to find one. There should be an air bubble in the stopper. I'll keep my fingers crossed!  Am going to have limited access to my emails from Sunday for about a week so apologies in advance if I'm slow to respond to any messages. A good weekend all!

Hi, I've been through my stoppers and I don't think I have what you need.  I have four plain stoppers as shown in the image attached.  The shortest is just over 9.5 cm and the longest is 11 cm.  The two on the right have polished stoppers and the two on the left are ground.  The diameters of the balls on the two smooth ones (which both have bubbles in the stopper) are only 3.7 cm and 3 cm.   The diameters of the two pegs narrows from 2.5 cm wide to 2 cm.  If any of them are of any use then I'm happy to send it to you but they all seem slightly wrong.

This may be a subject for a different stream but I'm thinking of setting up a bench at one of the glass fairs for people to bring in stopper-less decanters and stoppers without a home in the hope of establishing a match.

Neil

Hello,  v v sorry - but due to personal circumstances I've been away from glass messages since September...  Just wanted to apologise as I never did get back to you.

Hope all is well.
V
PS - I think doing a stall of 'stoppers' is a wonderful idea!  I keep coming across more and more traders with queries on how to find missing stoppers so the demand and need for knowledge is out there. xx
