Topic: istvan komaromy ?

Hi I would have thought it is his work too. However, there a few GMB folk who own his pieces, who come to the site from time to time, who know this subject much better than I do....

I would think so too but I don't have enough experience to say for sure. Rosie might well be able to offer a more confident opinion if she sees this.

Hi Chris,  me too!!  I adore the beautiful work he created.
Slight obsession, we drove 460 miles round trip last weekend to collect the tall black figurine in this group.  It is actually dark amethyst glass.

They all look far to close together for my liking, beautiful collection, first pic the gold one how tall is that, second on the left, what date and how has that survived.

They  are too close together for my liking as well, but with over 1500 pieces of glass to accommodate,  and only a couple od very safe cupboards to keep them in,  there is little choice, and I felt it was better than keeping them in boxes!

From memory, the tallest ribbon one is about 16" / 17 " and is one of his later ones... but as you know there are no dates on them.
She has survived because we drove to Devon to collect her as we did with the tall dark one, driving to Cornwall to collect.
Most have been collected, or entrusted to friends like Chris Cooper to post for me as he is so thorough and careful or I use Mail Boxes, a very good pick up, pack and post service.

How do you get yours Chris, do you collect them, and may we see your collection?
