Topic: Blue vase with crackled effect surface

I have recently inherited a large number of glass items from my grandmother. I have been able to identify a few pieces but most I am hitting a brick wall with. i have tried to upload a few images but im not sure if its accepting them?? hopefully there will be at least one image!

Ive tried to attach more than one image.. without success. how do i do this?? ive tried modifying but that just dumps the previous image?...

Hi and welcome!

If you look at the little bit under the box with the "Browse" in it, you will find a blue (more attachments) bit. Click on that, and you will get another "Browse" box to select your image from.

But please,  can we ask you to give each piece of glass you'd like to discuss its own individual thread?

Otherwise the discussion can start going all over the place and nobody knows which bit of glass the comments relate to.
Besides, each piece of glass deserves its own thread.

I'm sorry, I have not got a clue about your vase.  But I imagine somebody else will.

As long as you do not hog the front page with threads, we are ok with several (up to 5 or 6) in a day.

Do NOT worry about that, but thank-you for the consideration you were showing.

You can attach up to 4 images to each post you make.

I clicked on your image, but it didn't enlarge. There is something within the system here which will enlarge compressed images from the thumbnails posted, but you'll have to have a look through the techie tips to see how to fix your image using the actual systems you have on your machine.
(It might be my system that didn't enlarge it though, it's a bit... old and cobbled together.)

Just adding here, it IS my system that opens enlarged images in a seperate new window.
There is nothing wrong with what you're doing.
Thanks for going to the trouble of resizing and posting directly to to the board, it is much appreciated.

Looking forward to seeing what else you've inherited - from the looks of it, your Grandma had a bit of an eye for Bohemian/Czech glass. A lady of very good taste.

A more descriptive title is good too. This board is all about ID, so many people won't look if your title only says Please identify... It also helps us to remember where we saw something similar..

Then describe it a bit and give dimensions. We need as much info from you as possible please
