The technique looks similar to the "Efeso" pieces by Barovier & Toso.
Maybe a path worth exploring. :)
Seems a little lightweight, but as I have never handled any of them...

Many thanks for the pointer Michael...much appreciated....I meant to point out in my submission that no attempt had been made to polish out the pontil scab... which I suppose could be a negative in respect of Barovier....

I had a quick Google and can certainly see some similarities except with the only one that provide a full description it pointed out the polished pontil scab and a signature.... in ignorance I have no idea yet if that is a salient factor...

again many thanks

Gareth

 :) hi Gareth!  :-*
The base is wrong for Monart or top Nazeing, and it's maybe a bit heavy for either of them.
Nice beast, and good to see you. Sorry I can't help more.

Something as nagging at me that this could be PLUS of Norway they usually have an acid stamp which sometimes can be very hard to spot.

Very nice - love these bubbly pieces!
I saw a similar thing at an antiques fair a while ago - different shape but similar bubbles and base - seller thought it might be French.
sorry can't be more help,
Roberta
