I didn't say anything.
I'm too busy being jealous. Can't come up with anything generous or nice to say.
I'm off to sulk. :P

Ohh what a lovely bowl Gary  :P :P

(as he well knows I was after this and was the under bidder!!)

Is it definitely aventurine Gary, or is it the coppery tiny bubbles that look shiny and look like aventurine but isn't?

Most of the ones I've seen in this sort of colourway and probably uranium glass are the coppery bubbles.
Picture below trying to show the bubbles - enlarged.

could well be I just gave it a quick inspection to make sure it was damage free before snapping a couple of pics, il check later , I gambled on it being more decorative than the pics the auction showed and was right , its also a massive piece when you see it in the flesh so very very happy with it , lol as for knowing you were after it I only knew after the auction you were the under bidder lol, anyways il look more into the decoration later on , could well be just the bubbles

Hi,
Yes - you didn't know till after the auction I was after it!

I think it is a match for my FA vase - colour 295a - they would have made a lovely pair on display together -  yours looks more "yellow",  but mine is that colour but with much more of the coppery bubbles in it and less blue.

if you ever need a new home for it ...........

(now i just need to find a rare lamp to swap  ;D ;D )
