Another request for help with a signature.  This one is a longer signature.  I originally thought the paperweight might be from Zellique but on closer comparison it seems very difference from their vines and flowers design.  I can make out some of the letters in the signature.  If I am correct, the signature is "Saraman XXX Glass 1978" or "Sahaman XXX Glass 1978" or it could be something very different.  Thanks in advance.

I have a few images of signatures on file which are attributed to Salamandra Glass in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and/or a Todd Philipps. The signatures vary quite a bit, some are looking similar to yours. I have no further info about this studio/artist, however.

Added later: just found some info on this ebay auction - by someone who claims to have known the artists.

Plus a cached version (2003) of salamandraglass.com.

Thanks Wolf,

Perfect information ... I found some other images of paperweights from Salamandra Glass that are similar or have similar millefiori flowers.  I couldn't pin down the exact artist, but your post gave me enough information to stop the search for now.

Thanks again,

Allan
