Please help identify my new vase!
« on: December 11, 2014, 08:45:17 PM »
Hello all
I have begun to collect glass, namely vases that I see when out and about. So far I've had success in picking up a nice piece of whitefriars, ingrid glasshutte & sklo union jiri brabec vases - I know this only because I have spent hours trawling the web to find the exact ones! This week I have picked up 2 vases. First is a substantial pale pink buble globular vase, it has a pontil mark but no makers markings.
The second is a smaller patterned cases vase with a moulded foot.

Are they both just random studio type vases of no discernible maker or have I unwittingly picked up a couple of "yet to be discoverd"
Thanks for your help

Hi,
Sorry I can't help with any ID's but I really hope that someone knows what the pink bubble one is - I was also looking for an ID on this in a different colour (not my vase so cannot post pic) - I was sure I had seen it somewhere in the past but couldn't find an attribution after trawling the internet for ages - so hopefully someone may come along who knows!

good luck  :)

P.S It helps to post each item individually to keep things separate for any future referencing.
Roberta

bit of a slightly educated guess, but in view of the very similar colour combination plus vertical lines  -  might there be a connection between the second vase and this Mtarfa (Maltese) pear?

Yes, the pink and green one is Mtarfa. I knew it looked familiar.
