We were very quiet, just the two of us. We're orphans now. No parents to
have to "do" christmas for any more.
But I did manage to produce "Michael's Mum's Christmas Pudding" - perhaps not quite as good as hers, (nothing ever could be) but a reasonable facsimile. It passes her son's muster. I'm really, really pleased.
Not as good as having her with us, but a lovely reminder of her and one I'll be able to produce again and again. I used to get her to teach me her special recipes - what better way to a man's heart than being able to cook like his Mum?
