« on: January 03, 2015, 06:15:28 PM »
Any thoughts please on this 17 cms tall vase. Appears to be Oriental.  I thought pattern possibly chrysantheum suggesting Japanese perhaps.Swirls on base picture appear to be remnants of adhesive !!
Any suggestions much appreciated

We've had these before. The pattern is applied plastic/lacquer. They were made for Avon. It should be on the bottom. Hold it up to the light and look through the top.

AVON clearly visible on third photo (bottom). Possibly made by Wheaton Glass as they made tons of this stuff for AVON for years. They called these SPRING BOUQUET in the early 80s. Milk glass coated with a thick liquid plastic covering.

Thanks guys, I can't believe that I didn't notice the "AVON" on the base until it was pointed out ::) however it does show up more on photo than in real life, honestly!!!
