Another piece to ID
« on: February 10, 2015, 11:21:31 AM »
My last post was answered so quickly, thought I would try it again. I purchased this piece several years ago with no idea of origin or value, I just liked it and thought I could find the info on it. I have found similar pieces but not enough so to truly identify it.  It is approx. 13 3/4" (305 mm long), 7" (175 mm wide) at the widest point, and 3 1/4 high (80mm). It is a dark amethyst at the edges and fades to a light purple in the center. There is no signature that I can find. The bottom center is concave into the clear portion of the glass, with what appears to be debris of some kind actually in the glass. I've tried to take pictures of it, but that's another thing I'm struggling with.
