Heavy post war crystal dish/ashtray?
« on: April 02, 2015, 12:21:02 PM »
Hi---I'll try and describe my dish/ashtray as best I can.
I'ts free blown( which presumably rules out Art Vannes?) and looks quite organic in form.
The glass appears to be clear crystal.
The base is flat , clear and polished.
Looking at the base wear, I'd say that it was probably made in the 50's / 60's.
It's heavy (1844 gms)
Width is 23.5cms
Height 8.5 cms.
I was wondering whether it could be a post war Daum or Sevres or possibly Scandinavian piece.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi--- I've just found a smaller, marked version (Sevres) on eBay.
I really should have done a bit of research before posting---sorry!
Thanks for looking.
