Please Help I.D. this Mstisov 'Rhapsody' 'type' vase
« on: May 01, 2015, 10:03:25 AM »
Hi,
This vase is similar in style to the Frantisek Zemek designed 'Rhapsody' vases. There's always a but ;), and here's a few:
Five ribs/fingers instead of three.
The blue isn't confined to the ribs
It doesn't appear to be in the 'Rhapsody' colour palate and they're mostly polychrome.
It's very uniform as if a mould was used (no mould lines or pontil mark?)

Judging by the wear, it's probably 60's/early 70's which fits stylistically. It stands 12cm/4 3/4" tall and 18cm/just over 7" at the widest across the bowl diameter.
Any pointers, help with ID much appreciated, thanks.
Best Regards
Nick
