Dutch vase/beaker
« on: May 09, 2015, 10:20:31 AM »
I bought this vase/beaker in Holland. It is 15cm tall and holds exactly one litre. The engraving is done by wheel and seems to be quite deep and of good quality. The base has a ground pontil mark and shows some wear. The bowl shows signs of being hand blown. In the bottom is a small compartment in which is a VOC (Dutch East India Company) coin dated 1790. Any ideas on date or who made it?

Can you put a good clear picture of the base on here.
