Topic: Pair of Very Rare Stourbridge Carnival Glass Tornado Uranium Vases

For show an extremely rare pair of Stourbridge Carnival glass tornado vases .

The vases date to c1909 and some people attribute them to Thomos Webb of Stourbridge but cannot confirmed. The vases have a pontil mark to base.

The applied tornados and base are uranium glass.

Height 7.25" or 18.5cm

There interesting Roy thanks for showing ,was this Stourbridge competing with Loetz? Do you mean inches by the way?

Yes inches I have corrected the height. I am not sure if they were competing with Loetz but they are very high on the list of Carnival glass collectors. I am not sure if there is any connection with Harry Northwood who was working in the Stourbridge area at the time just before moving to the USA and starting the Northwood Carnival glass.

Strange pieces, next time in at the archives I'll have a look and see what's in the Webb books, can't promise I've no idea how much stuff they have on them,
