Paperweight, made in scotland, but which maker? ID = John Deacons

SophieB:
Hi there,

Like everyone else, I also wondered whether it could by John Deacons - especially as he has been known to produce the very same style of weight (see below):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LARGE-JOHN-DEACONS-034-CONCENTRIC-JD-THISTLE-CANE-MILLEFIORI-034-PAPERWEIGHT-BULLICANT-/201360896261?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276

Still, the canes bothered me with this attribution as they do not look quite right to be by him (IMHO, of course). Also, I know we associate these bubbles with John Deacons but Caithness used them in their flower in rain weights, for instance.

The best way to be sure either way would be to show these pictures to John or Craig Deacons. You could email them with your query.

Apologies for being so disorganised. Have determined that the label on base does indeed have the thistle in centre so John Deacons it surely must be. Will post picture of this asap. Paperweight only came into my physical possession this afternoon.

As promised, here is pic of the base with label.
