Rare Glass fishing float
« on: July 01, 2015, 12:46:25 AM »
Hey there how's it going I have a question that I'm hoping that someone can awnser for me ..... I do a lot of collecting of old glass fishing floats I recently have come across one that has 3 glass floats fused together kinda like a binary Chinese but instead of just two fused together it has three fused together in like a triangle formation... I've never seen one and can not find anything about it online anywhere so I curious if u could give me any information about it and what its value may be..... Thank u and hope to here back from u soon cause it's killing me not being able to find any information about it......

Hi Kirk360, welcome to the Board.

It would be helpful if you could add some photos of the floats. You do not mention any "maker marks" so are they unmarked? And what size are they?

For other readers not aware of "binary Chinese" floats, there is an article, written by a former Board member, in the Glass Museum Online, which shows a pair of fused Chinese floats in a net. Please see Glass Fishing Floats by Tom Rizzo. Scroll down to the fifth section of text + image.
