Hello and welcome to the board. We really need bigger images so we can see what you have. Could you please add them directly to the board as we find remotely hosted images tend to vanish after a while which renders the topic useless. The longest side of your image should be around 700 pixels and the filesize less than 125kb. The board will auto-create thumbnails for you, so you don't need to worry about that. There is more help re posting pics in the Help forum here www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34093.0.html.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

hi penny :)

I see you've suggested this is 'Crystal', so am wondering if you are implying lead crystal and therefore that your stand might be cut glass, although just from the pix this not clear - and possible this is a pressed item - in other words the design is not produced by cutting.
Due to their thickness, some pressed glass pieces can be deceptively heavy.

forgive my ignorance, and always best to say if a piece is cut or pressed, especially when this not immediately obvious.              My own view is that the word crystal isn't simply an alternative description for clear glass, and is best reserved for lead crystal glass where the design/decoration is cut.                We tend to favour size being included in the description - hope you can add.

In the absence of any makers marks etc., which assume you can't see, then I think it may prove difficult to find an attribution - clear glass  stands/plates have been prolific for a long time  -  however, fingers crossed someone is able to help  -  and nice piece by the way. :)

Thanks and sorry for the delay in replying, I didn't receive a notification of your reply  :)
and like I said I have no idea, other than the photo and its heavy weight!
