Vasart signature question please.

Hi all,I came across this little Vasart posy vase recently and I was just wondering if this is how they signed them or if the previous owner scribbled Vasart on the base,many thanks.

I am fairly certain the inscripition has been added at a later date.

I'm sure I've seen a similar Vasart mark scratched on the bottom of a very nice bit of Mdina. ;D

Thanks and quite relieved to hear it,I think it may be a collectors marker pen type thing.
