Is anyone familiar with that signature? I've searched, and found a few, with the same signature, but nobody else seems to know the initials, either, other than to state "possibly" Caithness, but I don't think that's correct. Any help appreciated. Thank you very much.

Welcome to the Glass Message Board ElizabethP

I believe this may say C11G,  being a Caithness Glass 'second', the 11 being a Roman 2 indicating a second that was still deemed saleable.
Others who know paperweights better than I do will confirm or explain better than I can.
Rosie.

Thank you for the kind welcome, rosieposie, and thank you for your thoughts. I did read, that "C11G" is a Caithness second, but I couldn't get it out of my head, that mine reads "CUG," but you may be right. I'll wait and see what others think, too. Thanks, again.

Best to be sure,  I agree.
I did enlarge your picture considerably and noticed that the two II in the centre are not joined at the base,  but there are Caithness experts here as well as a group who are paperweight enthusiasts and will know best. :)

The more I think about it, the more I think you're right, rosieposie, about it being a Caithness second. I'll see what others say, and look at the signature further. I'm done for the day, but will do further research tomorrow. Thank you, again.  :)

Thank you, Lustrousstone. :) Took me a little mulling over about it, and looking at the mark a few times, but I now agree. Thanks, again.
