WMF bowl more info please
« on: August 17, 2015, 05:28:34 PM »
I was certainly out of my comfort zone when I bought this WMF bowl, it was the colour and the type of decoration that got my attention. It is similar to Monart in some respects.
If anyone can give me any more information on the bowl it would be much appreciated.
Gary

I think the appropriate name for this style of design is Ikora.
You might get more info if you use that as a search term.  :)

I must admit I have restrained myself from buying one of these on several occasions! I do like them and agree they are a bit "Monart-ish". There has been a vase up for auction recently (hasn't sold several times) described as Monart style or shape which I was also tempted by, which I believe is also WMF/Ikora.

I assume the dates are similar to Monart - anyone confirm when they were made?

1928 to 1951 with a slight interruption 1939-1947 due to absence of the workers.
