Here are some photos of a Bagley Wyndham trinket set in clear glass, marked with the ‘expected’ registered design number 790482 (registered by Bagley on 20 February 1934).
(Permission for the re-use of these images on the GMB and GTS sites granted by cueman147).
The rectangular lidded trinket pots and pin dish are in accord with those shown on the GTS site at
http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms3/english/bagley/wyndham-1333BUT the tray and candlesticks are different.
The tray is an irregular octagonal ‘shield’ shape, with the ‘rays’ of the base radiating from the centre of the ‘top’ of the shield (as opposed to the rays radiating from the centre of the usual rectangular tray with cropped corners). The tray edges have the usual triangular sawtooth decoration. .
The candlesticks only have short, stubby stems instead of the longer, tapering stems of the ‘normal’ pattern candlesticks.
Is this a common variant of the Bagley Wyndham pattern? - I only have the first edition of Angela’s Bagley Glass book, and only the ‘usual’ 1333 version appears in that.
Does anyone have photos of this variant tray and candlesticks to show in other colours, please?
Fred.
